Work is underway for my Otakon cosplay! I have officially decided on being Officer Jenny. I have the base of my hat done and a pencil skirt pattern drafted. I'm going to make a mock up of the skirt and make a few tweaks if need be. I'm thinking the back will need deeper darts. After finish the final form of the pattern, I'll go to the fabric store for supplies. I'm thinking a cotton twill. I swear I use that stuff for everything. My Jubilee coat is made out of it, as well as the skirt thing for my Sasha Braus cosplay. But it's a good weight for what I want, comes in a ton of colors, and will probably be cheaper than suiting. I just gotta figure out how I want to do the brim of the hat and also what symbol I should use. While I'm there, I should probably get some replacement buttons for my Survey Corps jacket.
I also want to be Officer Jenny for Halloween. It's less niche than Boomer. Seriously not many people I know watch Battlestar Galactica. But the ones I do are like super into it. Plus I get to wear a mini skirt! And have a cute purse!
Speaking of re-wearing cosplays! I forgot that my friend really wants me to go to Baltimore Comic Con. And I've always wanted to go anyway! So if that happens, I'm definitely going to wear Jubilee. I love that cosplay. She's my homie.
Oh, and I should post a picture of my Boomer costume. I don't have a full body shot but I am stupidly proud of the makeup.
